Our department has information sessions twice a year for our residency program. I am in charge of promoting them each time. This poster, which looks like some packages of LEGO bricks, was created by me in July 2021 and was very well received on campus.
In that summer, my niece and I were always playing with LEGO to make her houses and cars. One day I built a LINAC, linear accelerator, with bricks and its mechanical movements excited her a lot. This event inspired me to try to build a more elaborate LINAC of LEGO.
Lego Digital Designer (LDD), an official model builder with virtual LEGO bricks, and Studio 2.0, an integrated photo-realistic rendering tool, help me build this. I exported a list of the parts needed and ordered them online.
A box of 345 blocks arrived from the store in three days. I was as excited as my niece and built the LINAC in just one hour. After photographing the green background with a full-frame digital SLR camera, I began to create the poster by Photoshop.
I'll try to make something interesting with LEGO again.
